Why a motorhome holiday?
Once installed in your El Monte RV motorhome, there are no buses to catch, no queues at airports to join, no schedules to keep and nothing to unpack. Renting an El Monte RV is also a great way to meet fellow travellers from all over the world when staying at the campgrounds and National Parks throughout the USA & Canada. On many occasions renting a motorhome is an ideal way of attending fairs, exhibitions, special events and theme parks, particularly when hotel accommodation is overpriced and difficult to find. Driving a motorhome is as easy as driving a large 4x4 on the wide-open roads of the USA.
Where do you want to go?
Your El Monte RV motorhome gives you the freedom to go anywhere you please. Your home away from home. North America has wonderful vistas like the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks plus the big city skylines such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami and LA. Also throughout North America there are many scenic byways leading to little known but often just as awe-inspiring sights to discover. You can pick up your motorhome at one of 12 International rental locations covering all the key gateway cities throughout the USA. You can pick up in one location and drop off in another – this known as a “one-way rental”.
When would you like to travel?
El Monte RV prices vary by season with the high season normally during July and August and we recommend you book as early as possible to ensure vehicles are available. Busy periods often sell out. You will need an overnight stay in a hotel if you are arriving on an international flight. You can collect your RV from 1pm the day after your international flight arrival (a morning pick up is available from a number of locations).
What size of RV do you need?
Each El Monte RV motorhome has a recommended sleeping capacity. Check bed sizes to make sure these are suitable for you party. Also consider how much living space you would like, the C Family Sleeper for example has a slide-out which, when you are parked up, gives you extra living space. You may be surprised at how little difference there is in the price of the different sized RV’s. Choosing the right size vehicle is one of the most important decisions that you make.
What is included?
We offer a Gold All-Inclusive package which includes unlimited mileage, personal kits (1 per passenger), kitchen kit, preparation fee and local taxes. Our Gold All Inclusive package often works out as the best option.
If you are travelling for a longer period of time or do not intend to do much driving you could consider paying for things separately. We sell packs of 500 miles, kitchen kit and personal kits all as separate items.
What about insurance?
VIP (Vehicle Incident Protection) insurance is included in the basic nightly rental price (unless otherwise stated). VIP cover reduces your liability to $1500 per occurrence for damage to the RV regardless of fault. See terms & Conditions for full details and exclusions. VIP cover is subject to change without notice.
Additional Insurance available
SLI (Supplementary Liability Insurance) insurance is available to be purchased as a separate option.
SLI protects you against claims by a third party for bodily injury and / or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating the El Monte RV rental vehicle. Please refer to the Insurance section on our website for full details of our insurances.
VIP PLUS Upgrade is available to be purchased as a separate option. VIP PLUS reduces your liability for damage to the rental vehicle in case of an accident from $1500 (coverage under VIP) to $0. Please refer to the insurance page on website and terms and conditions for full details and exclusions.
Where can you stay in your motorhome?
You need to stay in recognised campgrounds or designated rest areas. You are not permitted by US law to overnight by the side of a road. Visit our campgrounds page for links to various information and booking sites.
